A visual content system 10 comprises a processor arranged to provide an application 12 to a plurality of mobile devices 14, receive identification information from one or more applications 12, determine the location of each mobile device 14 from the identification information, and provide visual content to each application 12 according to the determined location of the respective mobile device 14. Outputted visual content may be detected from a mobile device 14, and if it is determined that the location of the outputted content does not match the determined location of the mobile device, the location is corrected. The visual content may be streamed. Each mobile device may be assigned to one of a predetermined set of specified locations. Additional location information may be received from a mobile device via an RF connection and used to check the determined location of the mobile device. The system could be used to encourage audience participation at concerts or sporting events. |
