<p>This invention is directed towards an error correction for using a radar signal to verify the speed or velocity of a moving object, or whether or not the object has moved. It does this by transmitting 101 a radar signal that has a first frequency and a first chip rate, or pulse rate towards the object. It then receives 102, the reflected frequency and chip rate, or pulse rate. It measures 102, both of these to determine the Doppler shift in both the frequency and the chip rate, or pulse rate. If the Doppler shift of the frequency matches the Doppler shift of the chip rate, then this determines 107 if the object has moved or not, and/or its speed.</p> |
