<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size air turbulence remote detection device of energy saving type, even if measuring a long-distance region, capable of measuring a further distance while suppressing deterioration in the measuring reliability, and also improving the measuring accuracy in the short-distance region. <P>SOLUTION: This method for remote detection of air turbulence, or an optical type air turbulence telemetry, according to present invention radiates (transmits) laser light to atmosphere as a transmission signal, receives laser scattering light of the laser light by aerosol in the atmosphere as a receiving signal, and measuring wind velocity of the air flow in the long-distance region based on Doppler shift amount of frequency between the transmission signal and the receiving signal. In the optical type air turbulence telemetry, the wind velocity width is found by curve fitting of the received power spectrum of the scattering light in a range bin to the Gaussian distribution curve, so as to highly accurately detect the air turbulence by the wind velocity width. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
