<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device that provides information by which a waiting time for a vehicle can be effectively used. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an information providing device that provides information for a portable terminal of a person who is waiting for a vehicle, including: waiting time acquiring means for acquiring a waiting time until the vehicle arrives at a position of the person who is waiting for the vehicle; and information setting means for setting information to be provided for the person who is waiting for the vehicle. The information setting means changes information to be provided corresponding to the waiting time acquired by the waiting time acquiring means.
