The present invention provides a portable underwater heater having a ground function and an improved function to cut off power in the case of overheating or a low water level. Disclosed is a portable underwater heater, comprising: a main body case wherein a pair of heating tube coupling unit and a temperature sensing unit is formed in a hollow form and protruds from one side of the lower surface; a heating tube embedding a heating element wherein both ends are inserted into and coupled inside of the heating tube coupling unit and which is connected electrically to an external power source via a plug and a conductor and generates heat when power is applied; a control unit embedded in the main body case and regulating a temperature of the heating element and controlling a power source; a temperature sensing tube wherein the upper part is inserted into the temperature sensing tube coupling unit and which embeds a temperature sensor connected electrically to the control unit so as to control the operation of the heating element; a micro switch embedded in the main body case so as to open and close a power source of the heating element; a float provided in the lower part of the main body case and capable of ascending depending on the water level of an object to be heated and capable of opening and closing the micro switch; a ground line which connects electrically the heating tube and the temperature sensing tube to a ground terminal of the plug, and is connected through a screw hole, which is provided to connect the upper parts of the heating tube and the temperature sensing tube in the heating tube coupling unit and the temperature sensing tube coupling unit to the heating tube coupling unit and the temperature sensing tube coupling unit, respectively, inside the main body case, and through a thermally conductive screw which is coupled to the screw hole. |
