Disclosed are an apparatus for collecting food garbage and a control method thereof capable of managing people who do not pay costs for discharging food garbage by generating a blacklist for the people. The control method for the apparatus for collecting food garbage inputs marking information to a predetermined specific memory area when a card payment means is recognized by a payment unit; receives the food garbage from a discharger by opening an outlet of the apparatus; displays costs by measuring the weight of the food garbage discharged from the discharger; deletes the marking information after the discharger pays costs for the food garbage; and manages the blacklist by making the marking information about partial payment or non-payment. |
