摘要 The present invention relates to a system and a method for gear shifting, which minimizes damage to a synchronizer that is operated by an electric motor to perform gear shifting when gear shifting is performed with an electric motor. The present invention relates to a system for gear shifting with a mechanical manual transmission apparatus that shifts a gear through a synchromesh method by operating a synchronizer using an electric motor, comprising: a location sensor which detects the location of the synchronizer and outputs the detected data to a control unit; and a control unit which generates a tractive force used by the electric motor for the operation of the synchronizer while controlling the force by identifying the transmission section based on the location data of the synchronizer, which is transmitted from the location sensor. The present invention minimizes damage to the synchronizer by effectively controlling the tractive force of the electric motor by identifying the transmission section of the synchronizer, when an electric motor is installed on a mechanical manual transmission apparatus, which shifts a gear with the synchromesh method, and a synchronizer is operated with the electric motor.
