<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type electric water heater using a temperature fuse as an overheat prevention device in which, even if the water heater is reduced in size, the temperature fuse does not fused within a temperature range in which a temperature control means controls energization to a heating heater, and the temperature fuse reliably blows out at the occurrence of an abnormality such as a failure of the temperature control means. <P>SOLUTION: The hot water storage type electric water heater includes: a hot water storage tank storing hot water; a heating heater heating hot water in the hot water storage tank; a temperature control means controlling energization to the heating heater for heating the hot water in the hot water storage tank to a heating setting temperature that is preliminarily set; a covering member covering the hot water storage tank; and a temperature fuse which is mounted on an outer surface of the covering member, fusion-cut when the temperature exceeds a predetermined fusion-cutting temperature, and thereby cutting off the energization on the heating heater where the covering member is configured to be fused when the outer surface of the hot water storage tank reaches a predetermined fusing temperature to directly transmit the temperature on the outer surface of the hot water storage tank to the temperature fuse. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
