<p>A regulator (SAR) for an electrical power source - and in particular a solar array regulator - having an input port (IN) to be connected to an electrical power source (SA) and an output port (OUT) to be connected to a power bus (BUS), comprising: - a switching voltage converter (SVC) comprising at least a switching cell (SW1, D1; SW2, D2) and an inductor (L1); and a control circuit (CC) for generating a pulse-width modulation signal (PWM) driving said switching cell; characterized in that said control circuit uses a first feedback signal representative of an input voltage (Vin) of said switching voltage converter and a second feedback signal (v(iL)) representative of an a.c. current flowing through said inductor. A segregated power system comprising a plurality of power sections, a plurality of regulators as described above, whose input ports are connected to respective power sections and whose output ports are connected to a common node, and a power bus (BUS) connected to said common node.</p> |
