The invention relates to an assembly for supporting a pressure roller (1) on a load-bearing element (2) of a stretching unit of a textile machine, wherein the assembly comprises a pressure roller retainer (3) for accommodating a rotary shaft (4) of the pressure roller (1) and a spring element (5) connected to the pressure roller retainer (3), by means of which spring element the pressure roller retainer (3) can be connected to the load-bearing element (2). According to the invention, the spring element (5) is clamped by means of at least one clamping section (6) of the pressure roller retainer (3) lying against an outer circumferential area (24) of the spring element (5) and is thereby fixed on the pressure roller retainer (3). The invention further relates to a method for producing a corresponding assembly, said assembly being characterized in that the spring element (5) is aligned with respect to the pressure roller retainer (3) and is clamped at an outer circumferential area (24) by means of at least one clamping section (6) of the pressure roller retainer (3) and is thereby fixed on the pressure roller retainer (3).
