Disclosed are a vehicle radar for determining a false target using variable waveforms and a method for determining a false target using the same. The present invention comprises: a transmission part for receiving approval for a chirp signal and generating and radiating a transmission signal having a frequency corresponding to the chirp signal; a reception part for receiving a reception signal generated by reflecting the transmission signal on a target and generating a beat signal using the transmission signal transmitted from the transmission part and the reception signal; and a signal processing part for generating chirp signals having different waveforms for each cycle according to a pre-stored chirp profile to transmit the same to the transmission part, obtaining target information on the target by receiving and analyzing the beat signal, discriminating between a real target and a false target by analyzing whether or not the obtained target information is continuous across a plurality of cycles, and detecting target information on the real target as the final target. |
