PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic substrate including a glass layer in which chipping of the glass layer tends not to occur, and to provide a process of producing the magnetic substrate.SOLUTION: A magnetic substrate includes: a spinel ferrite sintered substrate including (a) Fe, (b) at least one of Mn and Ni, (c) Zn, and (d) Bi; and a glass layer that includes Bi and covers a surface of the spinel ferrite sintered substrate. A density of Bi in a surface layer of the spinel ferrite sintered substrate is higher than a density of Bi in an inner layer of the spinel ferrite sintered substrate, and a density of Zn in the surface layer of the spinel ferrite sintered substrate is lower than a density of Zn in the inner layer of the spinel ferrite sintered substrate. |
