<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device that properly removes untransferred toner from a body to be cleaned even if a cleaning brush roller has resistance unevenness in its circumferential direction, and to provide an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: The cleaning device includes a cleaning brush roller that rotates for electrostatically removing toner on a body to be cleaned, and bias applying means for applying a bias to the cleaning brush roller. In a first cleaning mode for removing transfer residual toner on the body to be cleaned with the cleaning brush roller, the bias applying means applies to the cleaning brush roller a bias whose voltage is controlled to be constant so as to be a predetermined cleaning voltage. In a second cleaning mode for removing the untransferred toner on the body to be cleaned, the bias applying means applies to the cleaning brush roller a bias whose current is controlled to be constant so that a predetermined cleaning current flows between the body to be cleaned and the cleaning brush roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
