A hinge for a closure structure such as a motor vehicle bonnet comprises a pair of divergent links 21, 24 pivotally supported at spaced points 19, 23 on a support bracket 11 and coupled for correlated swinging movement by means of a pair of elements 27, 28 carried by the respective links and movable in intersecting circular paths about the respective pivot axes, the elements being circumscribed by a device 29 which maintains them in tangential abutting relationship. The links move in offset parallel planes and the elements 27, 28 are preferably rivets projecting into the intervening space, the device 29 being an oval washer or collar. The opening movement of the lid is limited when the elements reach a position in their circular paths at which they would become tangentially disengaged; alternatively or in addition the opening movement may be limited by the abutment of the edge 45 of the link 21 with a flange 46 on the link 24.
