PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that damage occurs on a flexible substrate.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device (display device) 10 is provided with: a light-emitting diode LED (light source) 17; a liquid crystal panel (display panel) 11 that performs display by utilizing the light of the LED 17; a flexible substrate 22 connected to an end of the liquid crystal panel 11; a light guide plate 16 that is disposed so as to overlap on the opposite side to a display surface 11c side of the liquid crystal panel 11 and has a light-incident surface 16b as an end surface disposed so as to face the LED 17; a holding member HM having a frame 13 and a chassis 14 that are a pair of holding portions to accommodate the LED 17 and the flexible substrate 22 while holding the liquid crystal panel 11 and the light guide plate 16 in the form of sandwiching them from the display surface 11c side and the opposite side thereof; and a signal transmission member with LED (signal transmission member with light source) 26 that enables signal transmission to the liquid crystal panel 11 by being connected to the flexible substrate 22 and is mounted with the LED 17. |
