PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intraocular lens insertion instrument which permits the adhesion of an additive to an intraocular lens to be restrained and the ejection of the intraocular lens to be carried out well.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing an intraocular lens insertion instrument has an insertion portion on which at least the intraocular lens is mounted and made of a resin containing a trace quantity of the additive serving as a mold releasing agent or an antistatic agent. The method includes a first step to form a layer coated with a water-soluble polymer by applying the water-soluble polymer to the inside wall of the insertion portion and drying it, and a second step to melt the additive by heating the insertion portion at a prescribed temperature after the period of deposition of the additive to the insertion portion from the inside wall of the insertion portion where the coated layer is formed by the first step. |
