摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support controller capable of accurately recognizing an obstacle at a close distance from a photographed image of a photographing camera and giving driving support such as erroneous start prevention by a configuration in which a monocular camera is loaded as an on-vehicle camera and costs are reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The periphery of a present vehicle 1 is photographed by a monocular camera 2 as an on-vehicle camera, a distance between the present vehicle and an obstacle is assumed by distance assuming means in an operation part 3, and a detecting distance between the present vehicle and the obstacle is calculated on the basis of the image magnification rate of a candidate image of the obstacle in the temporally changing photographed image of the monocular camera 2 by distance calculation means in the operation part 3.
