<p>A water-repellent substrate having a water-repellent coating film on at least one side of a substrate, wherein the water-repellent coating film comprises an undercoat layer which comprises aggregates of metal oxide fine particles having an average primary particle size of from 20 to 85 nm and a metal oxide binder, and which has a concave-convex surface, formed on the substrate side, and a water-repellent layer formed on the undercoat layer along the concave-convex structure on the surface of the undercoat layer, the water splash property as an index of the water-repellency of the surface of the water-repellent coating film is at least 100 mm, and the water splash property of the surface of the water-repellent coating film is at least 20 mm after an abrasion test for 2,000 reciprocations by means of a traverse tester at a stress of 11.8 N/4 cm2 using a flannel cloth in accordance with JISL0803.</p> |
