IMAGE QUALITY IMPROVING METHOD AND ULTRASONIC IMAGING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

Suggested is a quality improving method of an ultrasound image including; a step of forming an envelope signal by performing the envelope detection for an ultrasound echo signal reflected from an object; a step of dividing the envelope signal into a plurality of areas and forming a TGC curve by the divided area; a step of obtaining a final TGC curve based on the average of the TGC curves which are produced by the area; a step of reflecting the final TGC curve on the envelope signal; and a step of forming an ultrasound image based on the envelope signal to which the final TGC curve is reflected. According to the present invention, the regular image quality can be provided by applying a TGC value according to the depth of an image automatically and the increase of noises can be minimized.
