<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for securely making PC (Physical Contact) of all optical fibers exposed from a ferrule end face during butt connection of optical fibers using a multicore ferrule and also for excellently securing manufacturability. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a multicore ferrule 10 which has a cut 28, reducing a width-directional dimension of a ferrule body 20, formed right behind a connection end part 26 of the ferrule body 20, and includes a width-directional side edge part of the connection end part as a first projection part 29; a ferrule 50 with an optical fiber 1 which has a tip of the optical fiber 1 inserted into and fixed to the ferrule; and an optical connector having the ferrules put in a housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
