<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that generates a background image from a monitoring image, while preventing a pixel value of a person from being included in a part of the generated background image when many people wearing clothes of similar color pass by in a monitoring space or when people stays. <P>SOLUTION: A background generation part generates a frequency distribution 330 of a feature amount of a target pixel 300 from a pixel value of an image input before a target time to generate a background model including the frequency distribution. A background feature selecting part extracts normal distributions 331, 342 including maximum peaks of concentration, as background feature amounts at the positions of the pixels, in the frequency distributions 330, 340 of the target pixel 300 and a nearby pixel 320. A background model correction part performs correction to increase the frequency of the normal distribution 332 that corresponds to the normal distribution 342 selected as a background feature amount of the nearby pixel 320 in the frequency distribution 330 of the target pixel 300. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
