<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble metalworking fluid composition which is human and environment-friendly and can suppress adverse effects on non-ferrous metals. <P>SOLUTION: The water-soluble metalworking fluid composition contains at least one component selected from a component (A) and a component (B). The component (A) is a compound represented by a general formula (1). In the formula (1), R is a 6-14C linear or branched chain alkyl group or alkenyl group; EO is an ethyleneoxy group; and n is an integer of 1-7.
