<p>A process for producing 1,3-difluoroacetone according to the present invention comprises a step of oxidizing 1,3-difluoroisopropanol with an oxidizing agent in the presence of a polycyclic compound represented by formula (1). According to this production process, 1,3-difluoroacetone can be produced with high efficiency. (In the formula, R1's may be the same as or different from each other and independently represent an electronic-donating group; N-O represents N-O·, N-OH or N+(=O)X-; and X- represents F-, Cl-, Br-, I-, ClO2 -, ClO4 -, IO4 -, NO2 -, NO3 -, SO4 2-, BF4 -, PF6 -, SbCl5 -, SbF6 -, XeF2 -, (CF3SO2)2N-, CH3CO2 -, CF3CO2 -, 4-CH3C6H4SO2O- or CF3SO2O-.)</p> |
