<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-tube shock absorber which can prevent occurrence of hitting sound and prevents wear in a cylinder at a low cost, which is hardly influenced by sliding resistance, and which reduces a drastic change in damping force, and thereby can improve the ride quality of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A single-tube shock absorber D includes a gas-liquid separation member 6 housed in a cylinder 1 and segmenting the inside of the cylinder 1 into a liquid chamber L and a gas chamber G. The gas-liquid separation member 6 includes: a free piston 7 slidably inserted into the cylinder 1; a cylindrical metal bellows 8 the inner space of which communicates with the gas chamber G and one end of which is connected to the free piston 7, the bellows that can expand and contract in the axial direction of the cylinder 1; a guide cap 9 closing the other end of the metal bellows 8 and coming into contact with and sliding on the inner circumference of the cylinder 1 to guide expansion and contraction of the metal bellows 8; and an expansion-regulation cushion 10 and a contraction-regulation cushion 11 regulating expansion and contraction of the metal bellows 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
