<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame for a free access floor, which secures high rigidity, allows installation of heavy equipment on an upper part without amplifying vibrations from a floor, and allows reduction of the total height. <P>SOLUTION: On a side face of a column 21, ribs 23 are formed in two directions along an axial direction of the column 21. The ribs 23 are formed roughly vertically to each other in the direction of the adjacent columns 21 with each other. A plate member 33 which is a reinforcing member is provided between the columns 21. The plate member 33 is fixed to the column 21 by a bolt 37 passing through a hole 35. That is, the respective ribs 23 of the adjacent columns 21 are formed on the same plane and the plate member 33 is arranged so as to be over the ribs 23 of the respective columns 21. Thus, an end of the plate member 33 is brought close to the columns 21 formed at four corners of a frame 1.
