The present invention provides a microorganism having increased iron-regulated ABC transporter activity and producing hydroxycarboxylic acid, and to a method of producing a metabolite by using the microorganism. The recombinant microorganism has increased iron-regulated ABC transporter activity, compared to its mother cell and produces useful hydroxycarboxylic acid in high concentration by using the microorganism.
