<p>The mounting device (4) comprising a base part (6) for securing to a roof rack beam (3) extending in the vehicle roof cross-direction. The base part has a surface (8) intended for contact with a roof rail extending in the vehicle length direction. A clamping mechanism connected to the base part comprises a clamping band which extends around the roof rail and is tightened using a clamping device so that a region of the contact surface on the base part is pressed against the roof rail, ensuring a secure connection between the mounting device and roof rail. The base part is curved between an area located in front of the roof rail contact surface region with respect to the vehicle length direction and the side of the curve facing the roof rail is made from a resilient material.</p> |
