<p>A threaded joint has a sealing ring (11) interposed between the pin (3) and a box (2), positioned in a portion of the surface of the pin after the end of the threaded section of the pin. The sealing ring has two protruding annular lips (15, 16) positioned at a skewed angle to the longitudinal axis, two or more annular ribs (18) on the external cylindrical surface, a reinforcement ring (14) embedded in the sealing ring (11), in tight sealing contact with an internal surface of an annular groove (10) of the box by means of the annular ribs (18). The internal surface (19) of the sealing ring (11) can be made without abrupt variations and can have a uniform diameter or have protruding annular ribs (13).</p> |
