The present invention relates to an electrolyte for a lithium air battery including nitrile based organic solvent, lithium salt, and reduction decomposition type additives, and a lithium air battery including the same. The present invention provides the electrolyte for the lithium air battery having excellent oxidation resistance and stability, and the lithium air battery having improved reversible capacity.
