The present invention relates to a method for enabling a smart meter to transmit data according to the request of an individual electrical device and, more particularly, to a method for transmitting, according to the request of an individual electrical device, information related to energy consumption that is stored and managed by the smart meter so as to improve the energy consuming efficiency of an individual electrical device inside the home of a consumer. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the individual electrical device inside the home of the consumer can obtain, on request, energy-related information such as information on total energy consumption, information on electric charges and the like, which is stored and managed by the smart meter, thereby realizing active and efficient power consumption based on the same. Also, the leakage of the personal information of a user to the outside can be prevented effectively by providing information related to energy consumption to an individual electrical device without separate identification information after confirming whether or not the individual electrical device is inside the home of a consumer when the smart meter transmits information related to energy consumption to the individual electrical device that has requested data transmission. |
