The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for selective call-forwarding communications and a method for operating the same. The mobile terminal identifies caller information when the mobile terminal receives a signal of an incoming call transmitted from a caller, forwards the incoming call to a selected callee to make efficient communications possible. The mobile terminal includes: a mobile wireless unit which is wirelessly connected to a wireless base station, transmits and receives communications signals; a terminal control unit which controls each function unit to be activated after being connected to the mobile wireless unit and receiving the signal of the incoming call, outputs analyzed caller information, controls and monitors to forward the incoming call to a selected terminal device by analyzing a command signal input within a predetermined time; a caller identification unit that detects the caller information by inputting the signal of the incoming call, the mobile wireless part receives, by a control signal of the terminal control unit, and by analyzing the signal; and a call forwarding setting unit which searches and outputs one pathway information selected from a plurality of pathway information stored by the control signal of the terminal control unit. |
