1. A device for transmitting an electrical stimulus comprising:
a pair of electrodes, each electrode having a geometric shape defined by a first leg having a first length, a second leg having a second length, wherein a first end of the first leg and a first end of the second leg are connected, and an arcuate portion connecting a second end of the first leg with a second end of the second leg, wherein each electrode comprises a series of electrically conductive fibers oriented at an angle relative to the second leg, wherein the angle is parallel to muscle fibers of laryngeal elevator musculature in a patient's submandibular region when the second leg is oriented parallel and adjacent to a median anterior-posterior plane dividing the submandibular region. |
