Provided are a light emitting unit capable of improving light emitting uniformity and light efficiency and facilitating design and mold processes and manufacture, and a method of manufacturing the diffusion member of the light emitting unit. The light emitting unit includes a point light source and a diffusion member. The diffusion member includes a lens array which comprises a light transmission part located on the front part of the point light source, and semi-circular diffusion lenses which are parallel to two intersection directions on the light transmission part. The positon of the point light source corresponds to the center of the lens array.
