Disclosed is a device for driving an LED module. The device for driving an LED module according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an LED module unit for having serially connected LED elements; a rectifier unit for receiving an AC power and rectifying to a direct current and for supplying the rectified power to the LED module unit; and a current control unit connected to the other end between the LED module unit and the rectifier unit and supplying a constant current. The current control unit includes: a switching unit for switching by using a pulsating current which has passed through the LED module; a control voltage output unit for detecting a load current flowing through the LED module unit and according to the magnitude of the detected load current, converting and outputting a switching voltage, which is outputted by the switching unit, to a first level or a second level drive voltage; and a constant current drive unit driven by the first level or the second level drive voltage so as to supply a constant current. The control voltage output unit includes: a shut resistor for detecting a current flowing through the LED module unit; a comparator for comparing a voltage across the shunt resistor and a reference voltage and for outputting a voltage signal of a different level according to the comparison result; and a switch capable of being turned on or off according to a voltage signal outputted by the comparator and for converting a switching voltage, which is outputted by the switching unit, to a first level or a second level drive voltage according to a turn-on or a turn-off operation state. |
