摘要 A method for transmitting uplink data using multiple carriers by a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes determining a first maximum transmission power indicating a maximum transmission power for each carrier and a second maximum transmission power indicating a maximum transmission power for all carriers based on information for setting transmission power, received from an evolved Node B (eNB), determining a minimum value from among a required transmission power and the first maximum transmission power as an uplink transmission power, for each carrier, scaling the determined uplink transmission powers so that a sum of the uplink transmission powers is less than or equal to the second maximum transmission power, and transmitting the uplink data based on the scaled uplink transmission powers.

A method for transmitting uplink data using multiple carriers by a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system, the method comprising: receiving information for setting transmission power from an evolved Node B (eNB); determining first maximum transmission powers for the multiple carriers, each first maximum transmission power indicating a maximum transmission power for a respective carrier of the multiple carriers, and a second maximum transmission power indicating a maximum total transmission power for all of the multiple carriers based on the information for setting transmission power; determining an uplink transmission power for each respective carrier of the multiple carriers by selecting a minimum value for the carrier, the minimum value being selected from among a required transmission power for the carrier and the first maximum transmission power for the carrier; scaling at least one of the determined uplink transmission powers; and transmitting the uplink data based on the scaled at least one of the determined uplink transmission powers, wherein a sum of the scaled at least one of the determined uplink transmission powers of all the multiple carriers is less than or equal to the second maximum transmission power, and wherein the determining of the first maximum transmission powers for each of the respective carriers comprises: determining a maximum value of the first maximum transmission power for the carrier and a minimum value of the first maximum transmission power for the carrier based on the information for setting transmission power; and determining the first maximum transmission power for the carrier such that the value of the first maximum transmission power for the carrier is less than or equal to the maximum value of the first maximum transmission power for the carrier and greater than or equal to the minimum value of the first maximum transmission power for the carrier.
