1. A printing apparatus comprising:
a printing head capable of ejecting a first color ink containing a pigment and a second color ink containing a pigment and having a color different from the first color ink, the first color ink having a contact angle on a layer made of the second color ink larger than the contact angle of the second color ink on a layer made of the first color ink; a scanning unit configured to cause the printing head to scan a printing medium in a scanning direction, the printing medium having a unit region including a plurality of pixel areas corresponding to pixels; and a controller configured to control the printing head so as to eject the first and the second color ink onto the pixel areas while the scanning unit causes the print head to scan the printing medium, and to control ejection of the first and the second color ink so that the number of pixel areas in the unit region onto which the second color ink is applied after the first color ink is larger than the number of pixel areas in the unit region onto which the first color ink is applied after the second color ink.
