For this SRS hopping pattern, the frequency of the SRS transmissions via a first one of a plurality of antennas of the terminal (200) is higher than that of the SRS transmissions via a second one of the plurality of antennas of the terminal (200).

A transmission apparatus that comprises a plurality of antennas and transmits a reference signal from each of the plurality of antennas, the transmission apparatus comprising: a mapping section configured to map the reference signal to a time-frequency resource on the basis of a hopping pattern of the reference signal; and a transmission section configured to transmit the mapped reference signal, wherein in the hopping pattern, the number of transmissions of the reference signal from a first antenna out of the plurality of antennas is larger than the number of transmissions of the reference signal from a second antenna out of the plurality of antennas; and in the hopping pattern, both a transmission timing and a frequency position of the reference signal transmitted from the second antenna are matched with both a transmission timing and a frequency position of the reference signal transmitted from the first antenna.
