<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarized light irradiation apparatus having a structure with enhanced utilization efficiency of light in which a light source, a mirror covering the light source, and a polarization element can be sufficiently cooled.SOLUTION: Light from a light source 1 forming a long light emitting part reaches a polarization element 31 while a part of the light is reflected to a first mirror 2 covering a rear of the light source 1, and the light polarized by the polarization element 31 is applied to an object W. A second mirror 5 is disposed in a space between an end part of the object W side of the first mirror 2 and an end part of the polarization element 31. The second mirror 5 reflects the light from the light source 1 to direct the light to the light source 1 while forming draft air ducts 51, 52.</p> |
