<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to improve efficiency in detecting toner transfer position, a method and a program.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus acquires a value corresponding to concentration of toner adhered on a transfer belt, and stores toner position information to be obtained when a value corresponding to toner concentration below a predetermined threshold is acquired, in storage means, in association with the value corresponding to the toner concentration. The image forming apparatus decides a determination threshold for determining a toner transfer position by use of a predetermined threshold, and determines out-of-color registration by use of the toner position information associated with the values corresponding to the toner concentration equal to or less than the determination threshold out of the values corresponding to the toner concentration stored in the storage means. When out-of-color registration is determined, the image forming apparatus calculates a correction parameter for correcting exposure timing of a photoreceptor with toner of a color which causes out-of-color registration.</p> |
