<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge activity measuring apparatus capable of more easily measuring the activity of sludge, without variation between measurers and causing measurement errors due to bubbles of aeration.SOLUTION: The sludge activity measuring apparatus includes: an aeration container in which a mixture of an active sludge and a liquid containing a substrate to be decomposed by the active sludge is aerated; a reaction path existing outside of the aeration container, in which the substrate in the mixture is decomposed by the active sludge and oxygen in the mixture so as to consume oxygen in the mixture; liquid feeding means which continuously extracts the mixture from the aeration container and returns the extracted mixture to the aeration container through the reaction path; and dissolved oxygen concentration measuring means 1 and dissolved oxygen concentration measuring means 2 which continuously measure the dissolved oxygen concentration at upstream and downstream in the reaction path, respectively. Therefore, the sludge activity can be obtained from the difference between the dissolved oxygen concentration measured, respectively, by the dissolved oxygen concentration measuring means 1 and the dissolved oxygen concentration measuring means 2.</p> |
