PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device configured to prevent toner or an additive from being fixed at an edge part of a cleaning blade, with a comparatively simple configuration, without increasing cost and size of the device, a process cartridge, an image forming apparatus, and the cleaning blade.SOLUTION: During non-image formation, when "reverse rotation mode" for moving a photoreceptor drum 11 (image carrier) in an opposite direction is executed, a second contact section different from a first contact section in a cleaning blade 15a comes into contact with the photoreceptor drum 11, thereby increasing vibration of the cleaning blade 15a as compared with a case of moving the photoreceptor drum 11 in a forward direction.
