PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for implementing signal processing with fine band granularity by introducing electric signal processing into a part of the signal processing in a cross-connect device and for ensuring extensibility of cross-connect capacity through optical signal processing.SOLUTION: In the cross-connect device, a signal receiving part converts an optical signal received via an optical transmission line into an electric signal, demultiplexes a plurality of data signals multiplexed on the electric signal, converts the plurality of data signals into a plurality of optical signals of different wavelengths, respectively, and outputs the optical signals. A cross-connect switching part performs switching corresponding to the wavelength of each of the optical signals inputted from the signal receiving part so as to output the optical signal from one of a plurality of output ports at an output side. A signal transmitting part converts the optical signals of a plurality of wavelengths outputted from the same output port of the cross-connect switching part into a plurality of electric signals, multiplexes and converts the plurality of electric signals into optical signals and transmits the optical signals to the optical transmission line. |
