PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle hood structure capable of achieving securing of tensile rigidity of a hood outer panel and head part damage protection of a pedestrian.SOLUTION: A vehicle hood structure comprises: a hood outer 11; a hood inner 12 cooperating with the hood outer 11 for forming a space on a center part in a vehicle width direction; a striker 4; a stiffener 20 having a leg part for securing tensile rigidity of the hood outer 11 and transmitting impact load acting on a lower part to the hood inner 12. The leg part 22 comprises: an upper leg part 24 extending vertically; a lower leg part 25 coupled to the hood inner 12 and extending vertically; and a separation mechanism 23 for coupling the upper leg part 24 and the lower leg part 25, and when a top plate part 21 of the stiffener 20 is displaced downward by a predetermined amount due to impact load, releasing coupling of the upper leg part and lower leg part for separating them so as to allow downward movement of the upper leg part 24 with respect to the lower leg part 25. |
