PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect that a display device is using an automatic correction function, by using a colorimetric result of an image to be displayed on the display device.SOLUTION: Each of a first luminance inspection image I11 to a third luminance inspection image I13 to be displayed on a display screen of the display device in order includes a background image Ia set to a common area and a foreground image Ib set to a common area. Gradation values of the foreground image Ib are fixed at (R, G and B=255, 255 and 255) and, on the other hand, gradation values of the background image Ia are changed into (R, G and B=0, 0 and 0), (R, G and B=64, 64 and 64) and (R, G and B=192, 192 and 192). Photometry is then performed while using a part of the foreground image Ib in each of the first luminance inspection image I11 to the third luminance inspection image I13 as a photometry region M and from an obtained photometric result, it is determined whether an automatic luminance correction function is working in the display device. |
