<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of a connecting terminal which can suppress the generation of a whisker at the connecting terminal while suppressing the lowering of the productivity of an electronic component.SOLUTION: In a processing method of a connecting terminal which is used in a manufacturing process of an electronic component 10 having the connecting terminal 12 whose tip part 12a extends along a base plate 13 which is joined by solder 15, after preparing a punch 21 whose cutting edge 21b is rounded, the connecting terminal 12 is cut by moving the punch 21 in a state that a rear face of the connecting terminal 12 abuts on a die 22, or after forming a recess 18 at the rear face of the connecting terminal 12, the connecting terminal 12 is cut by moving the punch 21 in a state that the recess 18 is located between a cutting face 21a of the punch 21 and a cutting face 22a of the die 22 in a length direction of the connecting terminal 12, and the rear face of the connecting terminal 12 abuts on the die 22. By this constitution, a protrusion 25 is formed at a surface side of a cross section face of the connecting terminal 12.</p> |
