<p>In a cooling control device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention, when the circuit switching means has a failure and fails in circuit switching of connecting an internal coolant passage in the internal combustion engine and a radiator circuit passing through the radiator to each other, a wax-type thermostat (30) provided in a branching passage (28), which is configured to send the coolant in the internal coolant passage to the radiator through the radiator circuit, works and opens the branching passage (28).
