PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a fuel tank, which can secure strength of a mounting portion for mounting a mounting component to the fuel tank while suppressing an increase in resin amount of the fuel tank.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a fuel tank includes: an introduction process of introducing a molten resin sheet 34 that serves as a tank body formed of resin into a molding tool 42; a shaping process of forming a molten resin projection 36 projecting in the thickness direction of the molten resin sheet 34 by making a movable member 44 abut on the molten resin sheet 34; an arrangement process of inserting the molten resin projection 36 to a mounting hole 30 on a mounting component 26 to arrange the mounting component 26 on the molten resin sheet 34; and a treatment process of pressurizing the molten resin projection 36 in a direction opposite to the projecting direction by a pressurizing member 46 while moving the movable member 44 in the direction opposite to the projecting direction of the molten resin projection 36 to protrude part of the molten resin projection 36 to the outer peripheral side. |
