PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a power supply harmonic current characteristic (input current waveform distortion) due to regenerative current by suppressing an increase in efficiency reduction and controlled arithmetic processing burden.SOLUTION: A motor inverter apparatus includes: a torque calculation part 6 for calculating torque necessary for driving a motor 5 at an instructed rotational frequency; a command torque setting part 7 for setting the torque calculated by the torque calculation part 6; a PWM signal generation part 8 for generating a PWM signal for driving an inverter 3 in accordance with a command torque value outputted from the command torque setting part 7; and a carrier frequency adjustment part 9 for adjusting a carrier frequency of the PWM signal generation part 8. The carrier frequency adjustment part 9 does not set the carrier frequency to a fixed value within a half period of a single-phase AC power supply 1. Consequently, carrier frequency setting corresponding to a control frequency necessary for suppressing different distortion within the half period of the power supply is performed against distortion of an input current due to regenerative current and improvement of input current distortion can be achieved. |
