PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL display device that never cause a heat generation problem of a source driver IC even when a display panel is enlarged and highly defined.SOLUTION: The EL display device according to the present invention comprises: a source signal line 18 that transmits a video image signal; a voltage generation circuit 22; an electric charge accumulation circuit 23; and a switch circuit 25. A pixel 16 includes: an EL element 15; a drive transistor 11a; a transistor 11e that allows the transistor 11a and an input/output wiring 19 to be electrified; and a transistor 11b that allows the source signal line 18 and the transistor 11a to be electrified. In a first period, the input/output wiring 19 and the electric charge accumulation circuit 23 are connected to each other, and the transistors 11e and 11b are electrified, and thereby the source signal line 18 and the electric charge accumulation circuit 23 are connected to each other. In a second period, the input/output wiring 19 and the voltage generation circuit 11 are connected to each other, and thereby the transistor 11e is electrified, a voltage of the voltage generation circuit 22 is applied to a gate terminal of the transistor 11a. |
