A gas valve for preventing a backward flow of water according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a housing provided with a float accommodation space unit formed therein to accommodate a float, a gas entering hole formed on an upper middle portion thereof to receive gas, and a gas discharging hole formed on a lower middle portion thereof to discharge gas; and the float formed on the float accommodation space unit to move vertically and provided with an upper conical unit formed on an upper end thereof in a conical shape to block the gas entering hole, a cylindrical circumferential surface formed below the upper conical unit to have an inner space, and a protrusion bar formed to protrude outwardly from the cylindrical circumferential surface and extended below the cylindrical circumferential surface. The float is formed from a water-floatable material. The gas discharging hole extends upwards towards the inner space of the float. |
